Program Coordinator Job Opening

We are seeking a Program Coordinator whose job it is to assist in planning, coordinating and overseeing volunteers for various programs or projects. The person in this position is responsible for organizing training, coordinating schedules, implementing policies and procedures and working with volunteers in
order to promote our mission.

The Coalition on Human trafficking’s mission is to strive to eliminate human trafficking through awareness and education. With community-based collaboration, we provide information to mobilize people to realize, recognize and respond to signs of human trafficking. Our vision is to create a culture of respect and dignity for each human person, free from exploitation.

Program Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
– Coordinate training sessions within the community
– Assist in developing training sessions
– Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities
– Assist in monitoring implementation of program policies and practices
– Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly
– Support program growth and development as necessary
– Provide “Train the Trainer” training for new volunteers
– Assist to coordinate program communications
– Manage volunteer work assignments
– Coordinate interactions/relationships between volunteers and partners
– Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events
– Oversee the use of technology for program operations
– Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals
– Facilitate positive relations between the program team, volunteers and the public
– Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
– Write and edit documents from information to reports and instructional documents
– Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
– Attend Training and Education meetings and Board meetings

Program Coordinator Qualifications/Skills:
– Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
– Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and special events
– Power Point expertise with video capabilities, etc., word processing, and office skills
– Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications such as Word, Power Point and Excel
– Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
– Ability to lead and train assigned volunteers
– Records maintenance skills
– Ability to interact with others in a team environment
– Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures
– Ability to identify significant data and recommend the use for that data
– Advanced writing and editorial skills
– Some basic knowledge or willingness to learn facts on Human Trafficking

Work Hours:
– Approximately 25 hours per week
– Ability to work from home for the majority of work hours
